TEAM
GREG McPHERSON - President
Greg’s vision, combined with his strong
leadership and team building skills, have helped develop McPhersonClarke
into one of the most dynamic Association Management and Conference
Management firms in Canada. As President of McPhersonClarke, Greg
works closely with his Management Team to oversee the day-to-day operations
of the firm, its marketing and communications efforts, and management of
company/client relationships.
As an association management specialist,
Greg provides management/leadership expertise and specialized
administrative services to non-profit organizations and has assisted
associations through reorganization periods, develop policies and
procedures, coordinate marketing and communications programs, and has
planned and managed conferences, trade shows and special events. Greg
is the Executive Director for the Calgary Executives Association (CEA) and
provides management expertise to the Calgary Chapter of the International
Facility Management Association (IFMA Calgary) and the Alberta Call Centre
Association (ACCA).
Greg has a Bachelor of Arts degree from
the University of Calgary and is currently working towards a Certified
Association Executive (CAE) designation from the Canadian Society of
Association Executives (CSAE). Prior to joining McPhersonClarke
(previously McPherson Management Ltd.), Greg spent several years with an
environmental consulting company conducting
fisheries and wildlife studies both in the field
and in the office. He also co-authored
several reports relating to fisheries and wildlife research.
Greg then joined a mapping software company in Calgary as Marketing
Manager, conducting market research, developing
marketing strategies, and implementing and coordinating all marketing
activities for the company. In 2000 Greg joined McPherson Management Ltd.
with a developed vision for the company and has helped transform McPherson
Management Ltd. into McPhersonClarke, a leader in the Association
Management and Conference Planning Industry in Canada.
ISABEL McPHERSON - Executive Vice
President
Isabel McPherson has been the owner and
operator of the association management and conference management firm,
McPherson Management Ltd. in Calgary since 1978. She has developed an
extensive list of contacts in the agricultural sector in Alberta and across
Canada. As an association management specialist, Isabel has provided
management expertise and specialized administrative services to
associations in the areas of financial management and control,
communications, membership recruitment and retention, member benefits and
activities, meeting planning, conference and educational program
coordination. She has been Executive Director of the Canadian Hay
Association since 1994 and of the Foothills Forage Co-op Association since
1990. Prior to that, she was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Calgary
Milk Producers Association for over 25 years.
Isabel has assisted associations through
reorganization periods, developed Policy and Procedures manuals,
administered government grant programs, coordinated marketing and
communications programs, and has planned and managed several major National
and International conferences.
As Executive Vice President of
McPhersonClarke, Isabel provides accounting and
project budgeting and management expertise. She works closely with the
McPhersonClarke Management Team to ensure that the company continues
offering excellent services to its clients.
STEVEN POTTER - Ottawa Office and HR
Manager
Steven has over thirty years of private, public sector
and not-for-profit experience in all facets of human resources
administration including fifteen years as a management consultant. He has
worked with numerous associations, municipalities, fire services
departments, the Ontario Provincial Police, Department of National Defence
and Occupational Health and Safety specialists. He has also taught
university and college certificate courses in organizational behaviour,
office administration, compensation, employee relations and performance
management. His volunteer work includes positions on the executive of
organizations such as The United Way, The Royal Canadian Legion, and Local
service agencies.
During the twelve years that Steven has been with McPhersonClarke, he has
become known for his professionalism, integrity, excellent leadership and
interpersonal skills and his ability to identify innovative solutions to
meet the needs of our client associations.
